Dr. Andy Dhaliwal was born in Lansing, Michigan and attended Northwestern University in Chicago as part of the Honors Program in Medical Education (HPME) where he graduated with honors. He then completed his medical school and ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan before completing a fellowship in Corneal Surgery and Refractive Surgery (LASIK) at the University of Minnesota. After his training Dr. Dhaliwal returned to Michigan and has been in private practice for almost twenty years. He belongs to many professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The Cornea Society and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He currently serves as the Chairman of Ophthalmology at both Providence Hospital and Providence Park Hospital and is also on staff at numerous hospitals including St. Mary’s, Henry Ford West Bloomfield, St. Joseph and William Beaumont Royal Oak.
